I retained Charles Simon IN mAY 2020 to represent me on 2 evictions. I spoke with him on the phone and carried my documents to his office. He informed me I could proceed with filing an eviction as long as I had served a proper three day notice, which I had. The tenants retained an attorney, who filed a motion to dismiss the eviction, based on the Governor's eviction moratorium and failure to state cause of action. Simon refused to respond with an additional $500.00, saying it was for mediation and the judge had not requested a mediation and never did. When I question him, he got irate, told me to stop pretending to be an attorney and hung- up the phone in my face. Never have I had an attorney show such disrespect and hostility. I immediately called back, his secretary lied and said he had just walked out the door. I had to file my own response with the court. He lied said he was representing me for the fee paid, and only extra fee was for sheriff. He do not provide a written agreement as most professional attorneys. This allow him to price gouge clients later.The hearing took place and the judge stated the case should not have been filed doing COVID-19, and moratorium. Therefore the case was dismissed with prejudice . I got to wait for the moratorium to expire and start process all over again. Additionally I may be subject to my tenant's attorney fees. This is suppose to be a knowledgeable, intelligent attorney, which he obviously is not to entrap a client in this horrible situation. The man is semi-retired and have did numerous eviction, however his attitude and lack of professionalism demonstrate no morals or integrity. I do not know if he has developed a mental problem or what, he is irrational. This man caused me to waste my money, and time. I feel he was either unaware and did not care about the eviction, ONLY GETTING HIS GREEDY HANDS ON MY MONEY. i and $1700.00 in attorney fees and have a free-loading tenant beating me out of $1600.00 every month and owe 4 months. This has been a NIGHTMARE !! I advise anyone to run from this LIAR AND SCAMMER.
If you enjoy being abused, ripped-off, disrespected, abandon , lied to and treated like dirt Charles L. SIMON is the right one for you. NO MORALS !! NO INTEGRITY !! NO PROFESSIONALISM !! NO COMMON SENSE !!

Charles represented me on a couple cases and I visited him multiple times for the $100 fee. I won both cases and the opposing side had to pay additional attorney fees. The man is straight to the point, but he plays hardball which is the type of attorney you want representing you.

He insisted on meeting in person, made me drive to his office, talked for five minutes (proving completely unprepared), and kicked me out. I am sure he must be a great lawyer, but seemed seriously unhinged. I just wasted two hours.

Took our 100 bucks and told us he does not do that type of law, which is to help us recover property. He basically told us all he does is get back security deposits. Waste of 100 dollars. Oh yeah secretary is nasty and uninformative

The most disrespectful man and assistant I have ever spoken with I called to obtain information from something I was suppose to receive years ago and was hung up on by this man which I thought was a disconnection only to find out from his assistant nope he hung up on me he had nothing further to say to me! Idk how this man is in business acting the way he does
