08/19/24 @ 6:58 PM. The food was delicious, but the waitress needs more practice. Her name is on the receipt, but I’m not going to call her out. I waited for my silverware until I finally had to get it myself, before my food got cold, while she was standing around. She came back 3 times for Leah’s drink order, that we had to pay for, but for some reason was reluctant to refill my tea. Something was off with her. Maybe it’s just as simple as I remind her of someone that she doesn’t like. Trust me when I say that I know what it’s like to serve customers in a very busy, and a lot of the times, chaotic environment. It’s not the same business, but I serve up to 6 customers a minute, without tips, for up to 16 hours a day at times. It’s not always easy, but it’s my job. My advice is never let your personal life, or feelings, get in the way of making a living. We have a Gator’s Dockside in PSL, and I’m not quite sure why I’ve never eaten there. This is the first time, and we had Mitch with us. I wish it would have gone better. See Leah Kapurch’s review. I’m following her

Bingo night! Although we did not come for bingo. I enjoyed the Gator tail.
The service was lack luster.
Ordered nachos for the table .... But had to get my own lil plates.
Honey dropped his fork. We asked for a new fork. She forgot ... We had to retrieve our silverware. Things were not quite as described. Missing bread with seafood pasta and no pepper on my spicy margarita. Also advertised Cherry limeade on special board is not a thing!.
Many times we had empty glasses and had to ask for more tea.
Check left on table with no acknowledgement. When no tip was left she came at me! I wasn't even the one paying ...
To management..... Maybe "12" tables are too many for one waitress.

They don’t even deserve 1 star. We finally decided to go on Tuesday October 15 around 1:30ish for lunch and try their food. The place was almost empty, maybe 5 tables with people.

- Waited around 5min. To be seated by the host who saw us but decided to pretend we were not there.

- Another few minutes passed and we finally got the waitress who was mad about life or mad about working and all she said to me was “what you are drinking”

- 10-15 min. Pass and the waitress decided she was going to their “office” next to the bathroom. We were able to see her but she never came back to take our food order.

- After waiting an insane amount of time we decided to leave.

I will definitely understand if they were busy, but they were not. Host and waitress didn’t want to work. The only person working and enjoying her job was the bartender who was already busy working with her clients.

Our experience went to both extremes: things at Gators Dockside at this location were both great and disappointing.

What was great: the prices, the freshness of the shrimp we ordered, the great cocktail sauce, the large portions of food we received, the eager-to-please sweetness of our inexperienced server; and the many large screen televisions playing something interesting for everyone.

What was disappointing: The lack of a greeting from the hostess (not only did she not smile, she raised her brows and chin and said “This way,”); the time it took for a server to approach our table (11 minutes after being seated, during which time we looked around and couldn’t tell who was managing the servers—-we’ve both worked in the restaurant industry); the halfhearted attitude of the prep staff or cooks who put a rotten tomato on my salad (our server corrected that by bringing me a bowl of cherry tomatoes).

Hopefully they’ll be better, if we return.

We tried to eat here tonight, we were quickly sat at a table with menus. 15 minutes went by and no server was available to assist us. By the conversation multiple other tables around us were having they were displeased with their service as well. We walked out and left to get dinner elsewhere. Do better.

For the most part this place is SPOT ON! The food is always good, the servers are always friendly and very knowledgeable. We went around 8 one night and the service was kinda wishy washy…. It took really long for the food to come out, we had to servers and it felt neither of them communicated to the other. So we were answering the same questions twice. A few plates were room temperature when we got them.
As I said this was the first time in over ten trips here, and this place is still my GO TO! I love the atmosphere and the family environment that it has!

The food was fantastic! My husband ordered the gator platter and I ordered a veggie ?. The gator was actually pretty tasty. I don't know if it would be something I'd order all the time but would order it again. The veggie ? was the best veggie burger I've ever had! It tasted homemade and not like the frozen veggie patties I usually get when I order a veggie ? ? Absolutely LOVED it!
Vanessa was our server and she was amazing. Smart, friendly, and attentive.
The atmosphere is sports bar/restaurant. They had a lot of TV's with Match Madness on. They also have an outdoor patio which is always a welcomed attribute for me ?
Highly recommend this restaurant!
