I would not recommend this service in NYC. We are very disappointed and the whole experience spoilt a planned family trip.
I booked one week in advance for my 80 year old mother visiting from London. Her grandkids had also come from London and Toronto (the one from Toronto was just here for the weekend) and the plan was that she would have the scooter and they would hire citibikes and we would explore Central Park together.
I chose the option of dropoff at a residence rather than hotel and paid over $120 for a full day. The delivery partner called at 8am on the day, a call I missed, but left no message. When I called back, it said the office was closed so there was no one to speak to. They called again at 10 am and said they would deliver by 11am. I called twice again, they said they would deliver by 12pm and eventually delivered at 1.15pm. In the second call, they said they went to the wrong place (in Brooklyn) which I found odd as they had my address.
There were no updates -- I was the one constantly chasing them. They are saying that I didn't specify whether it was a hotel or residence (which I clearly did on the form) and that I didn't say what time for delivery. It is true I may have missed it as I don't remember seeing it as an obvious field in the form but if I pay for a whole day, I would expect it earlier in the day?
It would be a major issue if you are only in town for the day or need it for a specific time. We did not need it after 4pm as we were heading out anyway but the delivery partner then said we could have it till whatever time we wanted the next day because of the mistakes (this was in conversation so there is no data trail but three family members with me when they dropped off the scooter). However, the next day I got a text at 8am saying they wanted the scooter back at 11am which they had been unaware of when they told me I could keep it longer. It also made no sense that that they said someone had booked it at 11am so they wanted it by 11am, which allowed for no buffer or travel time, so they must be underestimating timings to everyone. I was getting so confused by this time, I said they could have the scooter back earlier if they wanted if they were ok to charge us for 50% of the fee. I also didn't want the next person to go through the same experience and keep waiting for it either. Anyway, we did a quick trip of Central Park in an hour and came back to our apartment for 11am but they didn't pick it up until 11.40 anyway. I understand traffic delays and logistics and I tried to be polite but the communication was so rude but also gaslighting agreements made verbally. I'll add the screenshots below.

Rented an electric wheelchair at 9:30 Sunday morning for 1:00 and never heard from anyone. I ended up canceling it and was not charged, but what a major disappointment

This was an excellent experience. They dropped off a wheelchair for my mother in the lobby of the hotel, a few hours after ordering and called to let us know it was there. I left the chair in the lobby on our last day and emailed. They picked up. This was easy, very reasonable and quality equipment.

We had a very good experience renting a wheelchair in New York. The chai was at the hotel on time, it was a clean and nice chair and it fulfilled our needs for going around with an elder person.

We rented the AmeriGlide lift chair - 325M 3 Position Lift Chair which was the least wide so I could enter the bedroom. It worked perfect for my husband who just had surgery. The chair lifted him up effortlessly and was extremely comfortable. When we returned it after 3 weeks he left us an empty room. We rented it for a temporary space in Manhattan and the service was impeccable. The chair comes from a medical company who is the one who brings it. I highly recommend it

Reserving and paying for the scooter was great, as was the delivery and collection. The scooter charge lasted incredibly well; so much better than my UK scooter that really doesn’t like USA power current. The only negative I have is that the scooter was tatty - tears/seam damage in the chair fabric, no basket or storage bag, loads of damage to the paintwork. Fortunately, my scooter bag and basket fitted, so I used them, I took photos of the damage and sent them to Cloud of goods, as evidence. Unfortunately, I never received a response from them, not even an acknowledgment. Would I use them again? Yes, purely for the convenience.
