I visited this store twice during my recent vacation. Ownership changed 3 years ago which explains the bad reviews from 3 yrs ago. The current owners are a lovely family. I got a chance to purchase a beautiful amber ring from the husband and the following day we went back for a beautiful bracelet set my daughter fell in love with and met the wife/owner. Such wonderful people! Professional, warm, friendly, and beautiful merchandise. Definitely take a look if you are in Winchester.

I agree that the previous bad review is no reflection of the new owners. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Hemuka. She is gracious, kind and very knowledgeable about all products in her lovely store. If you are in Winchester on the walking mall, stop in and say hello and find something beautiful for yourself or your loved one. Thank you Hemuka! We will come visit you when we are in Winchester!

If you are looking for authenticity and knowledgeable professionalism in your shopping experience, do not go here.

Sold me an 18karar gold ring that turned out to be 10karat, and when I came back to show the owner proof of the ring's lesser quality he refused to give me my money back. He wouldn't even allow an exchange for something of equal value in the store.

Oh well. Next time I buy something like that I will make it a point to do my research.

Do yourself a favor and do not set foot in this establishment. The owner screamed and cursed at me and threatened to call the cops. Loud enough for passerbys to hear. I am in the jewelry business as well, and all I was did was try to relate to him and maybe talk shop. When I handed him my card he told me to leave. When I asked him why he said "no solicitation." When I said I wasn't soliciting he yelled "Get the f**k out of here before I call the cops!" Yeah, don't go here. My impression is that the only reason he opened the place was that he had some weird preconceived notion that Jewelry was the best way to make as much money as possible. His shop is on a charming shopping district with several other small businesses and in my opinion he does not deserve such a nice location. Totally shocked and appauled. REPUTATION IS EVERYTHING and the jewelry business is a close knit community. You have no right to treat Someone that way.

My experiences here have been always good. I've shopped here within the past two years multiple times and never have seen a man in here so I don't know who people in other reviews are talking about. Every time I'm in here it's always the same woman at the counter and always very nice. This silver jewelry shop is always open, have only witnessed the other local one downtown to be actually open just a few times and seem to operate a lot weirder so never have tried to buy anything from them.
